Was my first PCP too. Sold it last year. Only problem i ever had was the small air tube. It always hit what I was aiming at, dozens of squirrels at 20-40 yards without a miss.

This raises a good question. Should we check and possibly re-crown the barrels of all of our PCP‘s? And all the topic, what is the consensus about whether we should clean all PCP bores before first shooting? And how about honing the bores? As I remember, firearms people (of which I am one)...

Good thing the barrels for the X are relatively cheap - which leads us back to the start of the problem lol. This is also my first PCP, and I've only had her for a few weeks, so I'm not trying to screw it up too badly yet!

Curious where people stand on the progress DS has made on the DW & DW Perf. DW Perf 25 cal is going to be my first high-end PCP. It sounds like the platform is solid. If you have a DW Perf, are you happy with it?

6.5mm (0.264). Since I got my first 6.5X55, I've loved that cal...which is why I went with .25cal. I wonder if PCP power levels would support faster twist rates...like 1:10...

I lost track of shots, so I cant figure out the score. I kept going until I started getting wild hits. Crossman 1377, Probably got fatigued with pumping and lost focus and resulted in a few wild hits. Overall happy, 2 hands, 10m. Pcp seems nice, more target focus less work.

I have both types and my first pcp was a Benjamin Maximus. Not fast or fancy but accurate, lightweight and I can pump up to full pressure easily with a hand pump. It lives in my truck most of the time. Rick H.

Let me first set the table... I've been a long-time outdoorsman with a 23 yr military career behind me and have been a "powder gun" shooter for most of my life. In "powder guns," I can pull one out of the box, give them a good cleaning, set up the gun(s), site in, and then count on them to HIT...
