Heat? No. You can sit on a bench with a pcp and shoot a hundred shots as fast as you can load and you wont feel any heat on the barrel.

Or you could just get an avenge-x .25 with a .22 barrel..great iguana set up and for a couple extra bucks you have a quality .22 and .25.

The same caliber, .22. I drilled out my Sumo and gun is shooting great. I’ll likely purchase a .25 Ronin.

It came from the factory unfinished, it's just bone dry walnut with open grain. I need to put something on it, but haven't decided what.

What is the shot count like on the 25? Volume? Do you use an additional moderator?

This is going to be a 1st for me, but I also don't think enough heat will be generated. Especially a pellet that only has 2 very small contacts with the barrel. They are not traveling @ 3200 fps. And then you got the air behind it that may cool things down. I'm not going to worry about it.

It is the best one I've owned. It has two adjustments for macro and micro length..really well thought out. Yeah..the CF dust is nasty..used an n95 mask too..belt and suspenders..lol

I will be taking a lot of shots from a boat, much harder to get a kill shot that way so I’d prefer to have a little more stopping power. Also, yes a lot of it is in residential areas on foot or from a boat.
