What qualifies as a quality post

My guess will be the TX200. Get it in .177. Then again, the HW97k is all business.... gah! The ultimate springer conundrum! Find a club in your area to solve your dillema!

This question has been around since the two rifles have been available. I was not able to figure out which one is better so I purchased both. The cocking arm on the TX200 doesn't seem to have the leverage that the HW97k has to me. I have the HW97k set at 15 fpe and the TX200 set to 12 fpe...

    N/A Pcp to break barrel

Springers are for plinking, not foxes. Use the Vulcan. For a nine year old this would be perfect. https://www.pyramydair.com/product/sar-embark-youth-air-rifle?m=4416

First time posting, lurking for a few years

Welcome to Airgun Nation. The search engine is your friend. Starlings are the worst, HOSP's a very close second. I really dislike cowbirds, they get no quarter from me.

N/A Best bang (or plink) for the buck?

Yes. I have found that slightly oversized pellets perform better (because they stay in the breech!). Normal .22 ammo is 5.5, I purchase either 5.52 or 5.53 head size H&N Field Target Trophy pellets when I order them. Usually ten tins at a time. They are called sleeves for some reason.

N/A Best bang (or plink) for the buck?

That is excellent news! Glad to hear you got the HW95. You can give it to your son when you get bored with it. 😀 What pellet are you using? I suggest the H&N Field Target Trophies pellet head size 5.53's. They work well in all of my Weihrauch rifles.

My favorite is the one I am currently shooting. I prefer springers to PCP's even on windy days like today. Rolling Stones won the toss today, Some Girls and Exile on Main Street back to back. The TX200 .177 has the spotlight for another 40 minutes then I am going to shoot my HW97k .20 until...

Call me crazy but I like my high pressure tanks to be DOT certified at least once before I start using them.

Small tank bought off internet ?????????

Here is an example of a DOT certified tank. They are the only tanks that I would recommend. https://airtanksplus.com/product/air-tanks-plus-97-cf-4500-psi-carbon-fiber-tank-550-cu-in-dot-approved-tank/

    Garmin vs Athlon Chrony

The Garmin has been very reliable and trouble free. I like the minimalist approach.

    Benjamin New Pistol

That is a nice lookin' rig! The Prod looks a lot better in wood. I ordered another sleeve of the 10.3's last night, never hurts. It is a great .177 pellet. I have no idea why Crosman would discontinue the cash cow called the 1720t. Airgun Revisions took advantage of Crosman's foolishness...

    HW/Weihrauch Hw95s versus Hw98 - pretending to spend money

@Croxton63 - Another vote for the HW97k. It is my most accurate springer out of them all. I recommend .20 if possible for HFT.

    Totally new here.

@Fuelish7777 - there are requirements for new members to look at the member classifieds. 10 posts and ten days. I think you are on the right track. The Marauder is a great platform. I suggest looking at Hawke or Athlon scopes. Both excellent brands. However, in the interest of spending...

    Benjamin New Pistol

The Burris scope is holding up well. The reticle leaves a lot to be desired. There are no mildots. Only a set of simple hash marks on the bottom verticle reticle post. There is very little recoil impulse with this setup. The eye box can be a little fickle. I usually run it at 6x. There is...

    New member post!

I used to buy powder burners from a guy in Missouri. For $5 he would give you a receipt for "Truck Repairs" from his other business. 😀 "Honey! The truck broke down again!"
