Reply To: Has Anyone Received Their MRod Compressor
You might consider looking into a counterflow chiller. I use it when brewing beer to chill the wort. I can take wort from nearly 100°C(212°F) down to about 20°C(70°F) in seconds. Combined with the aquarium pump you’re showing, you could probably keep that compressor downright chilly.
I made my own counterflow chiller that isn’t as pretty but still works pretty well. I put 1/4″ copper tubing inside 3/4″ PEx tubing so that the contents of the copper were seperate from the water around it in the pex tubing. It actually worked too well. I had to slow the flow of cooling water or else the wort would be too cold to pitch the yeast in it.
