I shot another string just now. I intended to charge the rifle to 250 bar. My carbon tank would only take it to 240 (I’ve charged mine and my son’s PCPs quite a few times on the first fill of this tank).

I forgot to program the JSB 25.39 pellet weight in the digital link (bluetooth hookup to my prochrony). And finally, my phone gave me a low battery alert at the 20th shot — I didn’t realize the AP had stopped working until I had shot another 6-7 shots that didn’t record FPS.  Sheesh, I’m so new to this I have lots of mistakes to make!

But here’s the string I got on 19 shots before my AP stopped recording: (I deleted the first shot after filling which was 648 FPS).

1. 900
2. 899
3. 905
4. 910
5. 907
6.909
7. 907
8. 914
9. 912
10. 905
11. 906
12. 907
13. 905
14. 902.
15. 904.
16. 905
17. 898
18. 899

After 8 more shots that went unrecorded the chronograph read 866. So somewhere around 20-22 shots, starting at 240 bar, this .25, 25.39 grain pellet dropped quite a bit.

The specs on these 18 shots (I deleted that 1st shot of 648 FPS): Avg. 905, Ext. Spread 16, Standard Deviation 4

Because I didn’t enter the pellet weight I don’t know FPE without calculating it.  I calculated FPE for High FPS of 914 – 47.11 and Low FPS 899 – 45.58
