I don’t have a Wildcat but on my Cricket, you don’t have to tighten the screws much. In fact, it’s better if you don’t. They make the inletting a precise and snug fit so you don’t have to over-torque the screws as it can shift the POI.
When end I first took my Cricket out of the stock, I tightened the screws until they couldn’t move any further and it shifted the POI 2″ to the right at 20 yards. Try loosening them. If the inletting is good, it shouldn’t need much torque to keep the action firmly in-place. I keep mine at least a half turn looser than the tightest it could be.
If it is still to the side of where it should be, I would send it back or it will annoy you every time you look at it….
Did it arrive like that or did you take it out of the stock to make some adjustments?
