They do learn.  They will land in my neighbors yard (they are retired and watch birds for a living so shooting them is a positive nono) but wont set a beak into mine (i have only gotten 2 this season).  Something else has been getting to them as the local flock number is way down (probably only 6 left out of over 25).  My local farm has a couple kids of some of the workers that shoot there so I cant get permission (im pretty sure they are paying the kids so im cool with that).  My parents have 2 crows living near their house and they have completely wiped out the starlings this summer.  Oh well this fall the flocks will move thru and I'll get to bag some more. Love the headnet idea.
