Reply To: Hawke Sidewinder 30
First air gun scope purchased, never felt the need to upgrade or try something new. I don’t touch the turrets, I use the zoom in or out to park a dot on a target at a specific range. The 42 mm with the 30 mm tube seems to allow for better viewing at dusk. A friend picked up a 6-24×50 Hawke on clearance, the Sidewinder is way brighter, many a woodchuck at 70-85 yds within minutes of dusk at 15 and 18 power shooting in a shrub lined nursery.
