The delivery truck has been to my house several times in the last few days bringing the new Prod, Hill pump, targets, pellets, scopes, mounts … oh my! Due to work, I haven’t been able to do much more than verify that everything was present and accounted for. With any luck, I will get a chance to start putting things together tomorrow. Before I do that I have a question:

Anything special I need to do to check out my first, new PCP?

I plan to clean the bore.

The gauge shows about 500psi so it will be good introduction to using the Hill pump to get it up to the 2500-3000 psi range. That should tell me if there are any leaks and prove the pump works.

I have been kicking around the idea of picking up a chronograph but I have not made my mind up about getting one. I don’t expect to do much in the modding, if any, so this may be a purchase that I don’t need to make.
