An out of state small game hunting license is required in New Mexico which costs $65. Any airgun may be used (.177 included) for non game animals, and non game species. Obviously, humane FPE should be used. These include coyotes, skunks, rabbits, hares, ground squirrels, prairie dogs, Himalayan Tahr, and porcupines. And of course feral hogs.

Most of the feral hogs here in New Mexico, are located in the southeast quadrant, and for the most part, on private land. The feds and state wildlife guys have done their job in reducing the numbers state-wide. As a result, the Texas hill country offers better hog hunting. About the only place better for hogs is Florida.
