If your rangefinder has angle compensation, you don’t need to punch the angle cosine into Strelok, just the angle compensated range. If it doesn’t, use an angle cosine meter or Strelok’s built in meter and it will calculate your hold over/under.

As a rule, see this chart. Multiply angle cosine by distance to get angle compensated range.

For example, if yardage is 40 yrds and angle is 45° (angle cosine .707) then 40 X .707 = 28.28yrds.** Use your holdover for 28yrds.**

**It doesn’t matter if you’re shooting up or down, the same rule applies.**
