Reply To: Vulcan .22 Speed low first 3 to 4 shots
The stripped threads on the brass adjuster screw could very well be the reason why you are having the issue. Perhaps there is some micro movement of it when the gun sits for a while, which might then cause negative air pressure creep; when the gun sits for a while the unregulated air pressure, being that it is greater than the air in the regulated air chamber, pushes the piston out, thus decreasing the air volume in the regulated air chamber. That could be why you are getting low-velocity initial shots when you wait for a good bit of time to take them. Try getting in touch with the manufacturer to see if you can be sent a new one. But try doing what I advised earlier first as it could just be an O-ring (or two) that needs to be replaced, or adjustment of the brass screw needs to be done.
