Normally, I would say that it’s fairly common for the advertised numbers to be higher than what you get in real world use. Most manufacturers use extra light pellets so they can advertise the highest fps in perfect conditions etc. With 30 cal guns it’s different though. The choice of pellets is limited to 44gr or 50gr for the most part.
You didn’t mention which pellet you were using. If you are using the heavier 50gr, then you would expect the speed to be lower.
For me, the main issue would be the accuracy. If it’s accurate at 820 then I would leave it alone. There isn’t much that would survive a hit at 820fps but die if it was 860fps. Plus, more power typically means less shots and more noise.
How many shots did you measure btw? There are a number of threads with people talking about the first one or two shots having less power on regulated guns.
I would also wait until the reg settled in but that’s just me. I don’t like to send away new guns or mess with them if they’re already accurate.
