It seems like the process is backward here. You go through the risk of modding an (expensive) air gun to achieve something it couldn’t do before such as take larger game or fix an accuracy problem. Velocity adjustments is a means to an end.
There is no issue with shooting heavier pellets at lower velocities if they are accurate. They will carry more energy further down range than lighter pellets anyway.
You can make your gun less accurate with a power increase too. It is not a given that max power = max long range accuracy. Things that are guaranteed with such a mod are more noise and fewer shots. There is also the potential for creating issues firing lighter pellets. Right now, you can fire a range of pellet weights well. Not just the heavy ones.
