    So got around to test my DIY playing card holder today, and since the wind was sort of ok, well i decided to stretch it out.
    So started out at 50 M, then moved to 75 M and finished off at 118 M which i think is a tall order as it took too many shots to cut the cards.

    It was done alright, TBH i had little faith, but seeing as i cut the first 2 cards fairly fast i figured i would do the last ones too, and those really messed with me, seeing my slugs sail right past on either side, so even if minding wind ( CUZ if you dod not you would be like a inch if not a little more off )
    It was a struggle and i think more luck than anything else.

    Good fun though, i will for sure do this again, maybe for 118 M transition to a larger target like say Tic Tac mints or something like that.

    The video LONG, even if i speed most of it up to 6X, so if you sit though it THX, if you do a little skipping well bless you.

    Funny thing.
    When i just take a bit of card out, and not least the back part of a card, i do not get how that is possible CUZ i make very sure the cards are facing the shooter.
    In this video with the cardboard behind the cards, well i was barely able to see the cards at 50 M.
    But at 75 with the TV as backing and even way out at 118 M the shade under the trees and grass made it much easier to see the cards even if a lot further away.
    I had my M8 verify the card alignment CUZ it is important to get right or old crusty not at all fit peashooter will have to walk again.

    I am actually amazed how many clean cuts i got VS what i have seen other do, not sure if using slugs have a say VS say domed pellets, the flat part of a 13 grain Zan slug for damn sure small.
    Also amazed i was able to get clean cuts all the way at the back of the field, i would have bet against that, CUZ this after all is not the most powerful thing around.

    Finally got around to shoot a little fire, however this time not the right fule ( gasoline + gasoline lamp oil mix )
    There need to be alcohol in the mix ( not drinking it ) instead of gasoline.

    Also it might have been a error shooting 13 gr slugs, i think it would be better shooting a larger head domed or maybe even wadcutter instead,,,,, new experimenting coming up.

    Anyway we had fun, only 4K / 120 FPS video captured this time.

    The environmental factor is HUGE.

    This is shot ( 55 M / 13 gr Zan slugs) in the daytime, with not horrible bad wind force, but not at all minding them / trying to read them.
    Also at any given time +4 different wind directions indicated by flags, some times apparently a strong gust coming strait up out of the earth CUZ some times a flag would point strait up.

    The remaining 4 dots on the same target shot 5 hours or so later when wind died down some, not completely gone though but A LOT less aggressive, and more of the wind indicators in the field pointing the same way.
    Again here not minding wind or trying to read it, just shot from the zero,and then putting enough shots on each target to rule out the luck factor.

    As usual shooting my Epic airguns Two.
    same weather today, and you can generally hold your shots on the black dots, but you damn well better pay attention to the wind.
    If not, well your shot would easy be pushed 50 - 70 mm off course.

    I have visitors.

    Forrest doves or as they are also called here ring doves, prancing around on my car roof with their dinosaur feet.
    The distance is just 20 M or so, so very high chance of a bang on shot if i would take it.

    But alas, it is just a stupid little car, though here as any car, a very expensive car.
    But not something i am going to spill blood over.


    On the other hand any hoomans with ill intentions in regard to my car, and i would spring into action like a jack in box as the law here could not be bothered with such small stuff.

    While shooting, as usual one of the girls came prancing past the shed, today solo which is strange this time of the year a guy is usually close by.
    They absolutely do not at all mind us shooting, even my friend with a not that quiet Snowpeak rifle.
    Some times,,,, okay often you have to mind your shooting as they will gladly pick stuff out of the field behind where your papers are hung, so big chance of a unfortunate pass through which would of course be bad.

    I had to suspend my 30 M stick pruning shortly after i filmed this. CUZ she was right there behind the stick.

    I remember getting my Maverick.
    It came set to 90 BAR and would shoot 13.43 gr MRD pellets at 570 FPS at MAX hammer wheel setting.
    The rifle is still the same aside for a dual transfer port, and micrometer hammer spring adjuster, even Hammer spring and hammer weight is the same.

    But now o_O
    The regulated pressure are 40-50 BAR and i shoot 10.43 gr heavy pellets at 870 FPS

    Attached to another object by an incline plane wrapped helically around an axis.

    The feeling you get dealing with Danish customs.

    So my 54 USD worth of O-ringes have been in customs, and that cost me 5 DKKr in customs ( shy of 1 dollar ) + the insane 160 Dkkr handling fee ( 24.3 USD )
    The problem is, everything under 150 Euro get a free pass in customs, but apparently not my O-rings.

    So now i have to deal with these filthy swine tomorrow in a phone call, meaning i will have to muster far more restraint that i am normally able to do when it come to those kind of people.

    I hope i make it CUZ we have a law here saying i MUST respect everyone that’s public employed,,,,,,, and that is not the case with me, far from it.
    That is a jail time offence.

    My compressor do not like to give me air.
    But when i jiggle its levers and toggle its knobs i hear no complaint ;)

    Might have to make it a target… like my 57 Olds Rocket 88… left me stranded one too many times. A few boxes of 45-70 thru my old Sharps made me feel a lot better, before AAA took it to the junkyard.. John

    Zan quality.

    Now i have shot Zan slugs for a long time now, and they are still my favorite slugs.
    But lately i feel like the quality is dropping, i have often found waste / scrap lead in my boxes often ( little nuggets in almost every box i have used )
    But on my outing SAT & SUN i even found a .22 slug in the box of 13 grain .177 slugs.

    This is a new thing to me, i think i can safely say that in the first 2 years of me shooting Zan this have never happened.

    Man i wish i could shoot stuff like that, but sadly my choice are in the hands of evil people that like to force them self upon others.

    Okay got a RPLY from Tuxing in regard to my broken compressor, they lige a video, why i dunno CUZ you can not see what is broke, i also just assume it is the HP #4 stage / cylinder or at least its valving.
    It cant be the cylinder seal CUZ the it would vent thru crank case, but pressure is just 240 BAR and do not get higher.
    and it do not vent to the air, that would be fizzing and immediately pressure drop when the compressor is turned off, and i do not see that happen.
    So ATM i am gravitating towards valve issues, but then again i have not been able to find any schematics on the compressor, but looking at ( video of ) the coltri its a copy off there are valves for each stage.

    But they will send me parts to fix it, just need to figure out what ones to send...... which i assume are hard to do without taking the damn thing apart.

    SO !
    I have ordered a new compressor.
    CUZ no telling when the Tuxing one will be ready, and any day now it is prime season and i will be needing a lot of air and a lot of lead.

    Oooo kay :cautious:

    So this little compact compressor deal did not pan out.

    BUT ! i have scored a nice MCH 6 with a 6 HP Honda motor on it, brand spanking new, and locally so unless it is sold ( web page will not take my card for some reason ) i am going tomorrow to pick up this good deal, list price 27.000 Dkkr, my price 16.000 Dkkr
    Which mind you are still very very nice PCP rifle money.

    Man i hope it is not sold yet, there just is 1 of course.

    Also mailed a DL link to Tuxing, a video as requested of my dead compressor, ran it shortly yesterday just pressurizing the filters and hose, and it would not even do 200 BAR now, and seeing this lower pressure now, i am worried maybe it is not just the high pressure #4 stage / cylinder that is busted.
    Also that compressor now sell for 1/2 of what i paid for it 2 years ago.
    so doubt i can sell it ( repaired ) for very much, ill probably end up doing a little PCP philanthropy with it instead.

    Tuesday & Wednesday, big ass High pressure on top of little old Denmark.
    lots of sun and minimal amounts of wind. 😇
    Barrel cleaned and extra boxes of slugs packed CUZ the range on my friends property will be getting a severe dose of lead.

    Also i have gotten tired of pulling my barrel every time i clean it, so have whipped up a DIY pull thru kit that work with the same patches i use on the cleaning rod.
    So always swift cleaning at hand CUZ this kit follow my rifle, and i will soon make one for my other rifles to follow them.

    Been to the range ( of course ) having some R&R behind the rifle, making a new style target we been turned onto, we call it a needle target, you basically have to shoot a 4.5 mm shot thru a 6 mm hole to get a visual reward in form of a chalk stick behind the hole to act as a HIT indicator.
    Seem to work fine but really at 50 M not that much fun, come Tuesday it will be moved to 75 M to rise the stakes.

    Also put up a few distance markers at various stations, 55 M - 75 M - 100 M 118 M and finally way in the back 129 M
    And of course the 93 M / 100 Y

    All i have to share however is a screenshot of a string from the Two.

    20 minutes later.


    We had a visitor while shooting, clearly this is a old school Viking bird, not afraid of nothing.
    Actually 15 minutes or so later when it had walked up past out 75 M and 90 M stations, i hit steel there within a few feet of it, and it did not at all take notice to this, okay not loud steel but i am sure this bird is not deaf.

    Here my friend is shooting 75 M with the bird 10 M from the shot shed.

    So it seem like there is a chance that the shot shed in the future will see more than 2 shooters.
    So to accommodate this potential risk, we threw in a #3 rifle lane yesterday, and modified the 2 existing benches a little ( shooter cut-out enlarged a little )
    it could also be the #1 pistol lane, will have to be turned into a full blow bench and then my friend can shoot his damn pistol from that

    If shooting wasent such a small sport in this country, we would probably have to get a " NO vacancy " sign to put up.

    2 "new " shooters will turn up tomorrow, though the wind far from playing ball, my friend will have to play the range manager CUZ i am at home for a while as i have family matters to attend to.

    One of the new shooters is a lefty shooter, so we probably have to do something about that as after all we are nice folks in the shot shed.
    The dedicated pistol lane will probably have to go the way of the Do do

    This is a issue that was already in our minds, the plan all along was to make the left most lane a lefty one, but come to think of it then that shooter can not shoot at the right most longest range targets, pretty much just the 100 yard target and a few other shorter ones that is there or could be made.

    The guy have the means and skills it seem to shoot very far, and i do think it is his main game.

    Also the 55 M 20 foot container, we could get that moved to the back of the property, and all the SqMeters of dirt in the berm behind it, but that demand money as we would have to get someone with a digger to come drag the container there and move the dirt, so i assume 2-3 hours of Machine work,,,,, which also not come cheap in Denmark.

    We will figure it out CUZ nothing else to do.

    There is a lot of good and bad to be said about the people that dwell in the dark cold forrest in northern Scandinavia ( Finnes )
    But when they set their mind to make a lead dust collector they are not joking around, i had to break out the .50 CAL cleaners and still only managed a half decent job.
    On the + side i might get a rat or two tonight with indirect lead poisoning, CUZ daum the thing collected a bit

    On the ? side, all i really found in there was dust, not any flakes ASO, so that’s a good thing i recon.

    And IMO i thought it was not that long ago i cleaned it. but maybe i mistake it for my humo MOD30

    Note to self need to buy some big bore brushes / bottle cleaners ASO.

    Wind ( force ) wise next weekend look good, but direction and temperature will probably keep me at home.
    Northerly direction is wind right in the face in the shot shed, or right in the openings you shoot out of.

    AVG winds around 4-5-6 M/s is OK, anything below is stellar.

    My friend, normally dialed for using 10 gr ko slugs at night with his ancient NV scope, well using that same rifle today to shoot 13 gr slugs the tune was out of whack for what it usually is.
    Never the less just slapping night time scope on the rail, and the aim seem to be the same at 25 M shooting pretty small mice he can barely see, CUZ he got one in the first shot later in the evening after i left.

    Rats must have gotten smart, CUZ we do not see them any more.
    We are hoping this is the same mouse that found its way into the shot shed and made a mess of some styrofoam there, CUZ one did that as we had overlooked a small hole in the floor at one of the posts holding the damn thing together.
