Looking Great! Being a shipwright/ wooden boat builder, I have a big soft spot for beautiful old hand planes…over the years, I’ve made quite a few from beech, and live oak. Just finished this razee jack recently…IMG_20220206_114613249_HDR.jpeg

Very nice! I built a wooden jonboat, and 1 handplane from hickory and bubinga. I'll get a pic of the plane when I get home. Everything by me including the blade from 1095

Looking forward to seeing…..I stopped making my own irons years ago, as I somehow seem to have acquired quite a collection..

Here’s 3 I’ve made over the past year…a live oak jack, about No 4 size, a small beech smoother with York pitch, of 2 piece construction, and a spill plane out of beech. I kept the smoother, the others are off to new adventures…IMG_20220129_132400363.jpeg

Those are great! Mine is essentially a block plane. Fun project, as are most things in wood. Built a lot of different stuff over the years. If you are into traditional archery and have never made your own bow I highly recommend it.
