Finished the R5M stock [XRated]

Well some guys had good ideas on how to paint the stock and some made it seem a sin...lol Well I went the Poly route and it came out damn good IMO! Here's some gun pic.. this is about 7 or 8 coats.

Looking nice!

Just be aware that the UV lighting takes its toll on poly. For the amount it is left in sunshine should not effect it. If I hunted I would do the same for the ultimate protection.

A good stock wax with uv inhibitors will protect it,a few coats and you are good for a while.

Nice! I have the same laminate stock. What grit did you use to sand? Did you happen to sand through the next color of laminate sheets?

Thanks..I used steel wool #0000 just something light and it still was bleeding.

I know you like pellets, but have you tried any slugs yet? They shoot them really good in .22.

I shot 3 FX hybrids at 25yds which I know isn't far at all for slugs but they weren't even touching so IMO they are trash. 25yds is my testing yardage for any ammo and if it isn't hole in hole I don't waste my time any further.
