Crosman challenger

Hey guys, does anyone here have a crosman challenger from airgun revisions? I’m eyeing the 20 fpe custom rifle they offer. If you have one would like to hear how you like it. This would be used for ft and just backyard fun.

I’ve owned 3 but I have kept 1. The one I kept is one I let new shooters learn field target with. I have numerous high end field target rigs.
The Hft challenger is an excellent PCP rifle. Lightweight, reliable and capable of winning an FT match.
My personal field target rig is 3x the price so not a fair comparison.
It’s the perfect pcp for your intentions.

I have one in 18 FPE. I like it a lot. I have found that I can shoot pretty well if I have a good scope on it.
I really like the balance of this one.
The length and of pull and cheek rest are fully adjustable. It comes with a small knee rest. It is single load only, no magazine. I get more than 50 shots on a fill. I can shoot 60 but the last ones are a little less muzzle velocity.
The Challenger is available with a black or gray stock, there is a more colorful version for extra cost.
I’ve been toying with the idea of getting another one in 12 FPE.

I have one and I have had my issues but it is shooting at about 17Ft pd and is a good shooter and not an air hog. Pretty nice tirgger too. The weak point with this rifle is the stock which is actually better than a lot of them but with a better stock the rifle would be a major contender in field target even at the fairly low price

I really agree. I have the original ten meter version. I love this rifle a lot. Super precision and I get a couple hundred shots per fill; which is awesome considering it’s only a 3000psi fill. It has a wonderful trigger. I just wish it had a little better stock. I understand that Crosman was limited to a certain price point to meet the requirements of youth shooting competitions. It would be nice though if they also had a “civilian” version for the rest of us. It doesn’t have to be a $3000 stock like a Walther or a Steyr but something a little better and stiffer and made of metal would be nice. Having said that I still really like the rifle.
