FX 100 grain slugs from a FX impact M4.

Hey everyone.

What are the heaviest slugs are you running ? A friend of mine who swages his own slugs is going to make me some 100 grain slugs to put out of my .30cal M4 purely for entertainment value and i am wondering if anyone has done something similar.

It would be really interesting to if any others have tried shooting super heavy weight .30 cal slugs out of there FX impacts and what were there results.

I'm interested in how you are going to fit the in the magazine. Or are you using a single shot?

Show it next to a .30 pellet (since that's what you'll be shooting) for more realistic comparison. Either way, that's a big honking slug!
Oh its a monster slug alright, i dont shoot pellets out of my M4 just slugs so i cant compare but i used the .177 just to show how ignorantly big it is.

I Had a short amount of time to try these 100 grain slugs out of my M4, they only managed 559fps( 70 ish ftlbs) where my .30cal M4 normally sits at about 105ftlbs with a varity of slugs. For the time being i think i will put a pin in this before i start seeing about increasing my Reg pressure/hammer etc to try and get more velocity as i have to many landowners shouting down the phone for me to get out and sort some pests out.

I'm just glad they atleast came out of the barrel. You're gonna need that gun to push around 150-170fpe to get those 100gr moving correctly.
