I like the looks of that Ozark with the wood. Nice features including 4 mags, the hard case and the bipod thing. No probe is a biggie for me too.

I don't think there's a better rifle under $500. And a lot of under $1,000 rifles suffer in comparison. I can't say how well they do over 40 yards but I have not missed a squirrel with either the .22 or .25.I like the looks of that Ozark with the wood. The Ozark-TW did need multiple instances of sanding and linseed oil to look *proper*.I don't think there's a better rifle under $500. And a lot of under $1,000 rifles suffer in comparison. I can't say how well they do over 40 yards but I have not missed a squirrel with either the .22 or .25.
I kinda like the finish on it as is... I really don't like the deep shiny finish on some guns. Maybe a bit of satin on this one would be good for me.The Ozark-TW did need multiple instances of sanding and linseed oil to look *proper*.
I would stay away from niksan, there is no US customer support, and they do not answer the phone in turkey or emails, donnyfl was the distributor in the usa but didn't fix my issue either, and now they stock in rifles are at a discount so it seems like they are trying to get them sold to leave them. I bought a niksan escalade-t and it the back bottle wiggles, there is only 2 screws in a aluminum block grabbing a almost 4000 psi bottle. I had to retighten it every time I used the rifle. After I got fed up with it I had to send it to a cnc shop to get it fixedI need to decide on a PCP. What's in my price range is the umarex origin, stoeger XM1, nikson archero. Would like to shoot starlings to ground hogs with it. Ill hand pump for now, thought about a crosman prospect although I prefer the looks of the other three.
The video is in spanish so sorry about that, but you will see the block has 2 screws only and the metal rod they added for support.I would stay away from niksan, there is no US customer support, and they do not answer the phone in turkey or emails, donnyfl was the distributor in the usa but didn't fix my issue either, and now they stock in rifles are at a discount so it seems like they are trying to get them sold to leave them. Im ok with that. I can see a .50 in my future. Im just not ready to dump 1000 bucks into it right now. Im young enough to pump it. I would love to take a deer with an air rifle.Fair warning...If you get into pcp's, just know it will be a money pit. You will get sick of hand pumping quickly and will want to buy a compressor. It is not a cheap hobby. If budget is tight, I would suggest getting a decent springer and scope with that money and avoid the rabbit hole...
The Escalade is a problem child. Another thread where the bottles were stamped 200 bar and then labeled 250 bar. Then it was claimed the stamped value on the bottle was just a mistake.I would stay away from niksan, there is no US customer support, and they do not answer the phone in turkey or emails, donnyfl was the distributor in the usa but didn't fix my issue either, and now they stock in rifles are at a discount so it seems like they are trying to get them sold to leave them.
