The new Buccaneer Pro .177 at Airgun Revisions

I really want to like the Buccaneer but that rear stock shape just ruins it for me.

Didn't BSA also show this rifle with a synthetic stock option that had a different shape??? Seems like I remember seeing that recently???
Yes but only the UK gun. Would agree that part of the stock is just a waist of machine time and should at least look traditional. Doing something like the Gen2 Marauder comb would be more enjoyable.
But still overall it’s a great gun. I once had a customer hate a gun and said he would never buy it. I put a black stock on it same stock but black and now he loves it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

A little bit turned off by the "big" gap between air tank and barrel, but a faux CF sleeve on the barrel would fix that just fine for me.
Price also push me a bit seeing how my friends Snowpeak rifles perform on shorter distances VS my high end rifles.
So much so i prefer to shoot longer distances for that reason i think, at least must be underlying in my mind.

Perfect for a custom shroud here in the states and a 90* breech block makes it pretty simple. A much better option compared to that plastic honker BSA likes to use on the end of a perfectly good barrel lol.

Beautiful gun and having owned an urban and a coyote can attest bsa quality is top notch. I lately have even been thinking about a decent 177 to mess around with. For me personally I just don’t see 700 bucks with this gun. Everything else is pretty sweet for sure.
The urban and the coyote are not regulated. The Buccaneer is. The urban and the coyote are also bolt action. This one is lever action.

The barrel is pretty rigid. You’re never gonna bend it unless you slam it upside a tree on purpose. Thomases are built exactly the same way.

The big Honker is a Gamo product not BSA. BSA would rather leave it like the buccaneer but Gamo wants the Coyote silenced coming into the US. 😉

I think I left my Urban and Buccaneer alone in the gun safe too long. ;)

Ive seen newer Buccaneers with the Honker, but maybe that is the result of the merger. I didnt think the old Buccaneers were regulated? I see the new generation is though which is cool. If they have a similar valve design as the old models that is sure to be a winner. Mine are all very flat fps performers with a ~215Bar starting pressure without a silly reg
