I've bought a few nicely figured pieces of walnut this size for the same purpose off ebay. The nicer the figuring, the higher the price :p. The piece in the picture below started as a 2x2x12 that I cut to size.

I need a piece of very nice figured walnut 2x2x6 or within 1/4 inch. I have a custom stock that was made for diopter sights and my eyes now need a scope so i need to make a cheek riser . IT can be a odd shape as long as a 2x2x6 can be cut from it .

Thanks Stan
2x2 seems a bit large for the width?

I have a 72 Sheridan stock that should make a nice cheek peice.

Here's a pic of it.
I have been using it for parts as you can see in this pump handle repair. Although it appears to be a very dark walnut, it finishes out rather light as you can see in this photo. I had to stain it for a better match.
