Nielsen Specialty Ammo questions..

Two questions here...

And yeah, probably better to send them an email, but I'm just curious if anyone knows any details. (I messaged them on Instagram but no response yet)

1. NSA produced pellets?
A while back someone made a post here about NSA getting into pellet manufacturing. I think they even shared a photo and some details about them working on getting their new pellet making machines up and running. I've not heard anything since.

2. Merger with Air Venturi?
Is Nick and family still gonna be running the slug machines/producing the ammo and AV will oversee sales and distribution?

NSA makes the magic beans for my .20 Ghost. I really would hate to see them stop being produced. NSA has long been the best value in slugs. Finding a NSA slugs/barrel combo that produces accuracy is airgunning nirvana. Cuz it's pellet prices at slug BCs.

Hoping the NSA we know and love continues in a similar status to what it has been.

And would really like to give some NSA produced pellets some business. Imagine a high quality Made In The USA option for pellet!!!

I've seen a lot of great shooting NSA ammo stop being produced because demand was fairlly low and production time fairly high. Granted, these slugs were pressed in two stages compared to the mass produced single-pressed slugs. It would be my advise to buy a large bulk order, that way you've got plenty of ammo in that .20 size to potentially last a lifetime, and it shows the new owner's some demand for that particular size.

If you do a Google search for "nielsenspecialtyammo ownership", you will get some answers.
For now it says that in August 2025 NSA formed a partnership with Air Venturi. NSA still controls manufacturing and sourcing of lead to insure quality of the product. Air Venturi does not produce the product -- they handle distribution and marketing so that NSA products can reach a wider market.
I do notice that the NSA main warehouse is in Ohio now. Products used to ship from Missouri where Nick and family moved to after leaving California. I don't know if that means Nick and family moved from Missouri to Ohio or what. I mean, the slugs used to be made in Missouri -- are they made there still and shipped to the warehouse in Ohio? Now I sound like a gossip column reporter. Not a job I want.
