H&N piledriver

Since slugs are moving towards the boat tail design, i think H&N should bring back a redesigned piledriver this time though in good quality.
It seems that they shot well from what i remember, before quality went down
Several of us have spoken with them and they have no plans to bring them back. I have about 9 tins of them and they can shoot well but not as good as what's out there already. My U2 177 600mm pushes them above 1000fps

have you tried in a slug barre? or any other airgun? Maybe i remember them being ok comparatively to the pellets available back then

I have a slug barrel, it's unchoked 1:17.7 it shoots most slugs submoa with no wind at 100yds and beyond. The issue with these piledrivers is that they are .176, not .1776 but .176. They might work better in a choked better but 90% of airguns dont have the juice to push these above 800fps

Man you got it back?! Or a new one?!
Got it back good sir! I also added the custom hammer and spring seat and it made it quieter along with the addition of the plenum depinger. I decided to also add dynamat and foam inside the stock (not directly stuck, put firmly place on top of duct tape) and all you hears is the air coming from the mod and a smidge of the peek end on the hammer hit the valve.

Nice!!! Congrats :) I also did the Dynamit a few weeks ago (to both U2 and U3), feels like it helped a bunch…

Where’d you get the hammer and spring seat?! I still have to open it up at some point to check the depinger (or lack thereof)… it’s fairly quiet but it feels like it could be more so. Getting the U3 action noise down would be even more interesting, but hammer/spring are different so have to figure something out for them as well…

Your U3 should have one but check what year you U2 as it likely doesn't have one.

Remember I sent the parts to a member on here to make? @Spike_9 made them for me, they work very well in conjuction with the depinger, that is a must.

I got the depinger from someone on Ebay but the seller is no longer available to contact or to be found.

I'm telling you I used to hate shooting it, I needed to use noise canceling ear buds when shooting in the car, and I made sure to not using it when going between houses or properties for iguanas. But now? At 40fpe it sound like a 20fpe gun, when this at 32fpe used to sound louder than my buddies v3 .25 that I tuned to shoot 40gr at 950
