FX Life expectancy of a slug liner

Many lifetimes. Essentially it is not a consideration. That's why it never comes up.

Airguns don't have the fire and erosion of posder burners, so with only soft lead friction it would take a couple lifetimes to have appreciable wear.

Homie you need to be the one telling us! I would bet 500 internet points that you have one of the most slugs through a liner on the forum.

But my assertion would be due to the low pressures, speeds, and very soft alloys air ammos are made from; that you can expect to spend a small fortune shooting before you actually wear out a liner.

If you start to notice group sizes opening up do to unexpected fliers, and your bore is clean; might be time to replace. And now that I think about it a bit, I bet you could even bring it back with some bore polish.

Shooting a full body in contact with bore SLUG .... Lead fouling is the nemesis, not barrel wear.

Cleaning it wrong would wear it more than shooting slugs.
