Still shooting JSBs???

This is a sincere post, not intending to start a fight.

Do any of you with 30fpe or higher energy rifles still finding JSBs to give your rifle(s) the tightest and most consistent groups?

Myself..., I only have a few PCP rifles and all of them are now off the JSB diet and onto either AEA or JTS.
JTS gives me consistent results, but I'm not excited about the bore cleaning schedule.

I shoot whatever my rifle likes. I do think that it sucks barrels using aea lose accuracy so much faster requiring a cleaning. I'm a pellet shooter, mostly a hunter. I shoot straight from the tin, I don't lube my pellets. So I hope guns I get the JSB shoot well. lol. I probably shoot three times as much rimfire as I do pellets and I don't have near the problems with barrels losing accuracy with my rimfires. It is what it is.

Yup but for some reason those AA are way more consistent than the jsb branded ones but i really prefer the HN 18g harder lead .. I one was trying to setup a .25 vulcan and the JSB spread was so bad i though that the regulator was damaged.. change the pellets to AEA problem solved the spread was only between 2 n 6 fps .. before was between 18 n 25 fps .. after that i have only keep guns that are slug shooter only . For my use aside for how awesome that taipan mutant shoot.. I have no reason to have another pellet shooter..

AEA pellets have given me a couple 200s this year in the 30 yard challenge. I shot 18.3s in my 22 caliber Bullshark. I shot 21.9s in my P35-22. I started with a little 250 count in in both cases and had a 200 before I finished the tin. The replacement 21.9s seems to shoot just like the initial small tin. But the larger tin of 18.3s I'm shooting right now are not shooting nearly as well. Upper 180s and an occasional 190+ instead of pretty consistent 195 plus. I think FX 18.1s would out shoot this tin. I need to try the other large tin of 18.3s. I tried sorting the first one for head size and it did not fix it.

I still like AEA pellets. I bought some more small tins of 18.3s and they seem to shoot well like the first small tin. But I wish I didn't buy 500 and possibly 1000 so-so AEA pellets. I have not had this happen with H&N or JSB pellets. But I haven's had any H&N or JSB shoot this consistently well.

I've been shooting H&N 18s in my Caiman. I think they shoot a little better than AEA 18.3s (not sure which tin, probably the new so-so one). But I decided to try AEA 21.9s. This gun did not like heavier JSB or H&N pellets. But it seems to really like the AEA 21.9s. Still need to try it on a 30 yard challenge target.

I have purchased, and fired several thousand AEA 18.3 .22 in both 250 & 500 count tins. I can honestly say that I have not found any difference in accuracy between any 'batches' of those pellets.

Also, I have not seen the need to clean the bore often with these AEAs that others have reported??? I will add that the three rifles I shoot the AEA pellets in all have polished bores and I shoot lubed pellets. Truth..., I don't know what else I can add???

I shoot JSB/FX/Predator polymags along with AVS slugs only. Reason is AVS is 100% lead, but back to the JSB stuff. I shoot target / pesting. When I zero pellets the grain weight and lead makeup are very close to each other. In 22, I use 16g Atomics/JSB along with polymags 16g and FX domes. I also like to match up in 25 with the 25.3g domes and polys and hades/ atomics. would be same 30. Now I have heard the JTS and AEA can shoot better, but they foul the barrel much faster. I don't shoot target competition, I shoot target for fun and keep my feeble accuracy up for when I hit living targets. Including this Norway rat that only gave me a second to line up and pop it when they got to my feeder. Just love the way the softer lead deforms and dumps energy.
