Hello, I need help with my fx panthera compact. When I go to fill the gun it won’t stop filling the reg pressure past 180 bar. When I go to adjust the regulator the gun doesn’t even shoot unless I unscrew the reg screw all the way until air bleeds out. What is my problem ?

what caliber is the gun. Are you wanting to shoot pellets or slugs. With a compact I would be shooting pellets but that is just me.
Why is the reg set so high?
MAybe I am not reading your post correctly, but the gun should fill well past the reg pressure set. It should fill to 250 bar. Then your reg reduces the that bottle pressure to what you want in your plenum. With 180 bar on the reg the stock hammer weight will not be able to open the valve hardly at all.

Yes I do not want the reg set so high. When I go to fill it the gun is filling past 180 on the reg I do not know why or how to stop it it just started doing this. Now my reg pressure is higher than the bottle pressure with no way to get it down. What should I do?
