The rifle is a sort of long story but I got it and three more at Academy some years back for $35 each. I gave one to my sister, life long jealous of my 140 
, gave one to the neighbor boy and kept two. One I modded myself and this one went to home base for mods. It was probably among the last wooden stock 392 rifles made. I tested all four and of course kept the most accurate two though all were decent enough. Especially after removing the paint inside the barrel gently.
I have lost in space and time the chrono/target results and have no time for it today. But I just shot 720 fps on 8 pumps and 800 fps on 12 pumps with CPHP 14.3 pellets. Not too shabby. BSA 2X pistol scope forward mounted, Williams peeps, Hawkeye cheek riser, Mac 1 Steroid kit install and TruOil finish.
