The free bonus pellet in every CPHP 14.3 gr .22 can seems to continue. :D

I'm not complaining as it's amusing and causes me no difficulties. I expect that they will be ironing out production over the next while.

Weighing seems to show a similar distribution of quantities, most of 14.3 gr, but significant number or 14.2 & 14.4.

I alot the smaller quanties of 14.1 and less; and 14.5 and heavier into batches for playing in the wind, etc.

Here are (3) "bonus pellets" from three tins. The right hand one is far lighter and smaller diameter, and could result in a very wild trajectory. As for the other two, even I am unlikely to load those by mistake.

I'd had so many distorted JSB and strange H&N that I'm not ridiculing Crosman.

I ran across this thread a while back and read it with high hopes that the newer Spanish made "crosman" pellets wouldn't be that bad.
Well I am here to say that so far I am shocked. I bought a tin of the .22 caliber at the local WM last weekend. I shot them for the first time last night before dark. They are actually shooting better than the original CPHP's from crosman. I was drilling 1 inch spinner targets at 30 yards with a good thump, and even hit my son-in-laws 1/2 inch spinner target he has set out at 50 yards. Took me a few tries to find the holdover with my 1322 pumper with a 11 inch barrel I repurposed from a Prod. I hit it 6 times in a row. I was tickled because this gun has never shot that good before. Later on I plan to try them in some of my other airguns to see if they like them as well. Fingers crossed.

Thx
Ray

That's excellent news. I never was a huge fan of CPHP's, but they always were easily available and it's nice when the things that you can easily get actually work well and it sucks when a corporation tries to profit by selling a lower quality product in the same packaging.

I bought some CPHP’s a couple weeks ago at Tractor Supply. New packaging so assume new style pellets.
I bought the 22 cal 14.3’s. I have read several members here having good success with them in their Atomic XR’s. My Atomic was not so fond of them. Bought a tin of JSB Jumbo Express 14.3’s and will stay with them. They shoot a much better. Far more consistent with no flyers. The CPHP’s were delivering way too many flyers. I never changed a thing on the gun to make the JSB’s shoot.
Utah Airguns had a sale going last week. A 500 round tin for $15.75. I bought 2 tins for $15.75 to make sure I liked them. After confirming their accuracy I bought another 5 tins with the 5th one free. I am set for the Atomic for quite a whille.

We struggle with wind so it is difficult to do conclusive testing, but IMO the Spanish CPHP 14.3 gr .22 seem to shoot as well as the US made ones. I have also been reserving conclusions since they may be in a transition and refining process for the new plant.
