The dealer won't take it back? If its new, can can you return it to where you bought it?Okay I have a hatsan break barrel 30 caliber 130s carnivore looking to get it repaired break the barrel nothing happens pull the sugar nothing happens besides shipping it to hatsan USA in Arkansas is there any kits that I can get to do it myself
You know I bought it from an individual I picked it up for 30 bucks and a brand new scope for 10 I was just trying to get it rebuilt refurbished figured I would ship it to us on USA and Arkansas and they'd read before me and I pay them and then ship it back but I'm looking for an easier routeThe dealer won't take it back? Yes sir the barrel is latching when I break the barrel to Cock it there's no resistance there iit's like it's already cocked so when I pushe the barrel back up and it latches i pull the trigger and nothing happens but just don't do nothing??Is it cocked? If cocked barrel will have no resistance when re-cocking. IF it take normal (lot's of) effort to break the barrel it is not latching.
Perhaps check the trigger adjustment. While be careful.

Thank youShucks. That will make it a bit more hazardous to work on. Dry fire isnt good and loaded is dangerous , your call.
Surf up "adjusting hatsan quattro trigger" , lot's of diagrams, video's .... .
Post up when you get it fixed.

Are you able to pull the trigger back or go thru the 1st and 2nd stage? If not, maybe the safety is stuck or broken?
Not an enviable spot to be in. Might need to take out of the stock and see if you can trip the sear and fire it in a safe direction so it's decocked and you can safely examine the trigger.
Yes sir I know this the safety isn't stuck the barrel goes down with no resistance the trigger pulls back but nothing happens it's not loaded I haven't built up the courage to take it apart yet or found the time very set on fixing it myself thank you for the adviceYou probably but at the end of the receiver is was what looks like a trigger hammer, you have to thumb down the hammer in order to fire the rifle.
I believe the gun is caught the safety is not stuck I can turn it off and on the trigger pulls back with no resistance but it does nothing it doesn't fire it's I cannot the barrel down put it back up it locks take safety off pull back on the trigger it pulls back but nothing it doesn't fireIs it cocked? If cocked barrel will have no resistance when re-cocking. IF it take normal (lot's of) effort to break the barrel it is not latching.

Thank you sir for the advice I appreciate it I'm sure it will be a big help and thank you for the linksso, check the barrel to make sure it is clear first thing
now i could have a broken spring and the spring has spiraled together
i would think if the spring is good, you can see if the piston is being held with the stock off i think
and then it would be in the trigger adjustment or broken part so you can't trip the sear
let assume the rifle has been in this condition for a long time and if the spring was good, it might be in need of a new one now
the trigger adjustment takes the right tool

Please tell me what is a "Ghost pin" - Thank youIt’s most likely a Vortex gas ram that has lost its pressure. You can remove the fill screw on the ram to be certain it’s dead. Hatsan does sell replacement rams or spring conversion kits for the Carnivore. You will need a good spring press for either. There are videos out there for disassembly and reassembly. The trigger needs a ghost pin made to reassemble. I converted all my Hatsan Vortex rams to springs. The Vortex ram doesn’t last very long. I got about five years out of all my rams.
A ghost pin is a shortened ”temporary“ pin to hold something in place until the longer original pin can punch it out and replace the ghost pin. Please tell me what is a "Ghost pin" - Thank you
