Anyone have experience with these? With chamber pressures insufficient to cause any deformation, is exact barrel fit the best?
Thanks for the feedback! I think I found your website just yesterday and plan to order some of these from you. I have experience casting for PBs but none for Airguns.I'm sending these slugs out as samples to customers who order .30cal from me. The HP is 59gr, cup point is 61gr., and solid is 66gr. So far it's only been one customer, and I haven't received any feedback yet.
Save yourself the headache and slug your barrel. From what customers are telling me, the bare lead slug wins out vs. the power coated ones if powder coating isn't necessary. I only powder coat if the customer's barrel needs an extra .001 - .002 for a proper fit. It's rare so far, but it works when needed.
I noticed on your site you offer in sizes from .298 - .303 . So you are powder coating to get the larger diameter?I'm sending these slugs out as samples to customers who order .30cal from me. They cast at .302 by default. Using pure lead can push them a little farther. Powder coating is also an option. I've never sized over .301 for anyone yet.I noticed on your site you offer in sizes from .298 - .303 . So you are powder coating to get the larger diameter?
I'll get my rifle and slug it then put an order in to you. It would be great if these worked well. They cast at .302 by default. Using pure lead can push them a little farther. Powder coating is also an option. I've never sized over .301 for anyone yet.
Slugged barrel and it is .3068 so I'll have to get a different slug. Thank Accurate 30-070a or 31-070a in .307 would be best?I'm sending these slugs out as samples to customers who order .30cal from me. The HP is 59gr, cup point is 61gr., and solid is 66gr. Good catch on the 31-072a since there is no 31-070a. The 31-079a may be too long at .45 but modifying the mag may give me enough space. What diameter are your 31-079a dropping at? Are you able to size them down to .307?Either Accurate 31-072a or 31-079a. I have 079a. 30-070a will not work.
