N/A QD Fox magazines: User opinions

I wasn't going to address the "similar" design of Fox mags to Orion. I think it is no coincidence, and I belive Orion has done a ton of work providing original designs. You shouldn't need to spend a lot of time and money protecting your own work. As airgun enthusiasts we should respect each other's work.
They may look the same but they certainly do not load the same. Orion mags, that I own for my Prophet are not easy to load and the internal disc must be rotated precisely to reveal each hole to insert a pellet through the hole in the outer plate. While my AGT (FOX) mags have a removable top cover, held in place by magnets. Once the outer ver has been removed the mag internal wheel is rotated until it stops, drop a pellet in to hole to hold it in place, then fill all the other holes easily. I prefer the Fox mags to the OEM AGT mags, for ease of loading and they function flawless.

Huh? This is my Orion AGT mag. Removable top and it doesn't jam like OEM and Eagle Vision mags in my U3.

Here’s my story. I was pumped after I bought my RTI Prophet 3 .30, so I jump on bay and find QD Fox mags has a P3 12 round mag, shows a picture of the mag installed with the cheek piece. My vision isn’t great and I didn’t study the picks, I just ordered them. When I received them, there was no way it will work with the cheek piece in a usable position for any human. I told the owner he should put an a note on the pictures that modification is required to use the cheek piece. He replied I should have read the description at the bottom of the page before I ordered.
I’ve ordered mags from him before, I thought I could believe the pics. The mag he sells for the RTI P3 is the same mag he sells for the P1 and P2 which I think is pretty sneaky/slimy pos behavior. He kinda gave an arrogant you too stupid to read fine print. I told if you don’t change it I will give 0 stars. I informed him Orion sell the same mag but makes it clear to order a smaller mag for the P3 with the cheek piece. I told him I don’t want my money back, just change it. He said it request by the community and he wouldn’t change it. So 0 stars. I ended up getting put on a call list that the junk call app couldn't stop it. I’ll be buying Orions now. F QD Fox

The RTI magazine was the first magazine I designed, at some point I introduced magnetic lid, way before QD even started selling, then I updated all my designs to use magnetic lids, then QD started selling.

You must have a very old version of my magazines. I'm thrilled it still works.

FWIW, I bought 6 QD Fox magazines for my RAW probably about a year ago on eBay, just tried to use them for the first time yesterday and they don’t fit.
I have a pre AirForce RAW, not sure if I ordered wrong mags or if it’s glitch in production, probably past the window of returning them. They look decent though.

edit: just measured stock mags are 15mm and qd mags are 17mm. Wondering if anyone makes the 15mm aftermarket mags in .30, Maple and Stud do not, they are both 17mm ones for sale

I just got two qd-fox for an impact 22. They work fine. The build quality is what I expected....he uses various build plates to get the nice texture and sheen effect that is the current "thing" in 3d printing. I have printed quite a lot of abs and pla.... enough that the thrill is sorta gone so I'll buy something when I can vs printing. As far as design theft, unless specific stl or step files were stolen I don't see it.

The price was right to boot.

I don't think anyone has said they don't work, the a$$hat that makes them is not part of the community and you're supporting a Dirtbag versus supporting the community. But if you're that broke or cheap, knock yourself out.
Well thanks for the compliment. BTW QD-Fox is (or was) a member of AGN. But my post was simply a user opinion.

I'd like to know who he is. The call list he put me on is formortgage brokers trying to buy my house and every time I report and delete them it notifies them I put in another application. No spam blockers stop it, it's like my phone has an STD. I found the address of his company, I'm probably going to call ICE and report Identity theft and have him raided. I hope this stops soon, I've already warned him to cut the crap over a bad rating on ebay. If it doesn't stop. FAFO
