Has anyone purchased a YONG HENG recently?

I bought my YH compressor through Walmart and opted for the $34 3 year extended warranty. I paid with Paypal and I'm not sure if it made a different but in the notes section I wrote. "acceptance of this payment is considered an agreement that I am to receive an authentic YH product. If not Walmart agrees to issue a full refund including return shipping". I did in fact receive an authentic YH compressor.
For the first year I filled tanks and what ever I wanted just to test it while still under warranty. It's now 3 years later and still running as it did when I got it. I only fill guns now. I have changed the oil 3 times using Air Venturi's compressor oil purchased though Pyramyd Air.
If it dies tomorrow I feel I have got my $100 per year out of it and will most likely rebuild it with parts available online for around $50.
YMMV

I made a closed loop cooling system for a YH, a couple of years ago, to allow me to use it at the range. It weighted close to 60 pounds, so it was OK portable, but wouldn't wish to pack it up too many stories.

The radiator I used was a Nissan Xterra heater core. If it is of value, I can offer what I used and how I did it.

I found that the closed loop cooling system was not sufficient for filling a 45-minute SCBA tank, but fine for rifles. Cooling from a water faucet was the best cooling solution that I found, for filling tanks.

I finally decided that I was going down the wrong path in using tanks and home compressor for filling my guns, and switched to a GX CS3 for direct filling at the range. That was the best solution for me, but not necessarily for others, of course.

Here it is mocked up which makes the parts easier to see.

That’s good news. I currently have one in transit from the same eBay seller. Are you using a tank or filling directly into your air rifle? Any additional filtration or water/oil capture?
I have only filled tanks, 45 & 1 hr SCBA only 2 times from empty so far, but not in 1 sitting.
I made my own cooling mods that make a difference. no ice for me, to much added time. I haven't changed the 5 gal water since I wrote the article.

I only need to run mine 15 max 20 minutes at a time and it never gets to 60c without a rest. I use the small filter that comes with it to stop oil and some/most water. That cotton filter gets changed every time i run it. Dried and reused. I bleed every 5 minutes or 10 in the winter when the humidity is below 20% in my basement. I have 2 towers in line 1st is a water separator 2nd is the desiccant, charcoal. i keep those pressurized for months at a time. To keep them pressurized i use a one-way fitting and a shut off valve. I only open the vent on the water separator a tiny bit to check for additional water.

:) You guys making all those gimmic cooling mods, yes, it is fun building these and some may look amazing as well.
But nothing will replace a real cool continuous water supply directly from a faucet or garden hose.
The best upgrade worth the peny?
Change the water pump and supply lines for a larger volume. Also you can change the barb fittings for larger flow next time when you have the upper second stage off from the cylinder.

I got my YH in April of 2021 shortly after getting an Avenger, my second PCP. At first I filled guns but fairly quickly later I got an expired 45 minute Scott airpack and a fill set. The bottle was inexpensive but a cheap fill set did not work and I went with a much more expensive one that works flawlessly but is bulky enough I cannot use a padded bottle cover. I wonder if a chinese bottle and fill set wouldn't have been a better idea. But I have no reason to switch. My YH fills my bottle on average about once a month. It started taking over half an hour to refill the bottle late last year and I bought a replacement piston for about $20 and put it in. It was very easy. It is back to filling the bottle in about 20 minutes. Seems good as new.

I've used Nuvair oil since day one and I think using expensive oil like this is a good idea. I added a computer radiator with a couple fans and another fan on the motor. Before the piston replacement I did not need ice in the water to stay under 60 C but now I really do. It works best if I add 4 frozen soda bottles and an ice pack to the water awhile before running the compressor and turn on the circulation pump. Doing that lets me stay easily below 60 C even in the summer. I accept that using enough ice in the water can do pretty much the same thing as the radiator but in the winter I don't need ice and can just turn the YH on and fill the bottle. The distilled water coolant has water wetter in it and does not get algae in it making me change it. So it just keeps getting used. Much less hassle when you don't have to mess with the water.

I also have a GX CS2 and I really like it. I sometimes use it to refill guns after I've worked on them so I don't drain the bottle quickly. It is also very portable so next time I got to a range I will probably just take it instead of my bottle. It is much less bulky and lighter. I can run it off a Milwaukee tool battery using a 18-12V converter. It's a great backup + extra compressor. It takes maybe 5 minutes to fill my guns using the GX filter but that and it's quieter but still somewhat noisy sound level are the only real drawbacks.

The ease of restoring my YH to like new performance make me want to keep using it as long as possible. It is noisy but relatively quick to get the job done. I don't see a better inexpensive way to fill large bottles.
