"Just received the BOG Treepod today—thankfully, the only casualty was the box. The unit itself is in perfect shape, and wow, the amount of adjustability is impressive. This is going to be a serious upgrade from using a standard rest." (Another tool to take out coyote)

waiting for a real world testing for a few months . Looks like it would work well if mounted to a 2x6 board that you park under a tire .

The base looks like it has screw holes drilled in it and the name implies doing so . I think i would screw it down on a 2x6 and park my truck on the other end
I will explain how it was mounted, also you're not going to get a truck up there, I use a 4 wheeler

  • Base prep: Cut and fitted 2×4 cross‑pieces to span the stand’s side rails, giving me a wide, level platform for the TREEpod base.
  • Vibration control: Sandwiched a layer of closed‑cell foam between the wood and the stand frame to absorb shock and cut down on noise transfer.
  • Bolt layout: Used stainless bolts with fender washers for even pressure, tightened just enough to lock it down without crushing the foam.
  • Positioning: Mounted the pod slightly forward and offset to my strong side, so I can swing a clean 180° without shifting in the seat.
  • Final check: Made sure all hardware was snug, then cycled the TREEpod through its range of motion to confirm no pinch points or interference.
The result is a secure, vibration‑dampened mount that feels natural in the field but still delivers the precision of a bench rest — exactly what I was aiming for.
No screws.

If that had a front elevation adjustment that would be just about perfect.. Something like a miniature car jack or "high helix" screw or rack and pinion..
its the same as the BOG
