Sheridan Sheridans FPS V # of Pumps V caliber V pellet weight or choice

Ahhh .... i'm not an airgun aficionado but learning that Benjamin-Sheridans is "a thing" is very cool. To me they are all Sheridans.
The original “Sheridan” company was sold to Benjamin in the late 1970’s. So “Benjamin“ actually made the “Sheridan“ for some 15 years, with changes. Are these all technically NOT Sheridan’s. Then “Benjamin“ sold out to “Crosman” in the early 1990’s. Crosman made the “Sheridan“ until app 2018, with changes. Changes were made from the start of the Sheridan company back in the 1940’s. To me, the 5mm/20 caliber pumper are all Sheridan’s.
As the 392/397 are all Benjamin’s. Crosman owns no credit for either.

History and math have never been my strong suits but i sure like learning as much as i can about the things i enjoy!

5 am and I’m still not getting the connection?

Assuming you mean the "our amps go to eleven" connection to your request for velocity information CD, the (admittedly loose) connection is my velocity information might not only be deeper than most others', but includes accuracy testing as well; thereby answering other questions posed with some regularity... in the past, and future.

I suppose hindsight and foresight/forethought must go with the territory of being OLDER THAN DIRT.

oooooh

A normal working true Racine Wisconsin 20 cal sheridan with 2 favorite pellets and differant pumps with a good working valve
1963 BS 1973 Silver Streak and 1959 blue streak
1963 (JSB Exacts 13.7gr) 1973 (14.3 Crosman Premiers) 1959 (14.3 gr Crosman Premiers)
2 pumps-373fps 380fps 358fps
3 pumps-453fps 468fps 442fps
4 pumps-515fps 525fps (w/jsb 13.7gr -540fps) 512fps
5 pumps-563fps 585fps 560fps
6 pumps-606fps 655fps 640fps
8 pumps-669fps 683fps 662fps
10 pumps- 717fps 766fps 708fps

As you can see there are some variations between guns. All valves were new at the time. There should be no residual air left after the shot up to 8 pumps. At 10 pumps you will have some residual air by just recocking the bolt and shooting it again.
