RAW Rapid RAW TM1000 My Thoughts 🧐

Finally got my hands on one of these mythical air pistols. Is it as good as everyone says or did it disappoint? You will just have to watch to find out.

I might have one on the way IF the guy decides to actually sell ,
Keep your fingers crossed for me ! I will drive to FL. to pick it up ( ok and visit my sister also )

Great video and nice group at 50 yards. I am also seriously looking at this TM1000 pistol. My idea is to add a precision style adjustable butt stock and make it into a compact air rifle silhouette gun. I really like the RAW Mini as well but they don't make it in .177. I'm thinking of a stock like these or something similar.

I don't have an AR and don't know a lot about their stocks but I believe this would work. Please let me know if I'm wrong. Thanks,
Kenny

ok fell thru no deal PHOOEY , But now i will get a custom made one from Martin , hopefully ?

I love mine! Very accurate, and I added a rear buttock to allow me to use it in HFT if I desire. It does come with the land and groove and not a poly LW barrel, which I found to be less pellet fussy actually!

Nice rifle. May I ask you about the power level you’re shooting and your shot count with that bottle. Thank you,
Kenny

I have one, extremely accurate out to 35 yards, that’s as far as I shoot. I have the 20 fpe, .20 cal, carbon fiber tank model. I don’t shoot any matches.

The receipt from AirForce shows 100bar listed after the model number, I take it that’s what the reg is set to??

Shoots 11.42 grain H&N pellets @ 880 fps ish,
13.73 grain JSB pellets @ 820 fps ish and 15.89 grain JSB pellets @ 770 fps ish.

Couldn’t tell you how many shots per fill I get, right now I have a pump and only pump it to 220 bar.

Mine didn’t come with the carbon fiber barrel sleeve that I’ve seen lower and higher serial numbered TM1000 pistols with. I don’t know if the carbon fiber barrel sleeve makes a difference or not. I’ve emailed AirForce and am waiting on a reply.

No they didn’t, I did ask why some photos I see online have them and others don’t and they didn’t answer. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me since some have them and some don’t, it’s not unique to my TM1000. There’s one in the mail for me, don’t think I will bother installing it since it shoot fine.

Does the carbon fiber bottle drop lower than the aluminum one? I’m wondering if the Gray Ops rail will still fit with the carbon fiber bottle. Thanks,
Kenny

From the photos posted online of the TM1000 models, it looks like there is more room on between the barrel and the aluminum bottle than the barrel and the carbon fiber bottle. I can confirm though from owning the carbon fiber model that there isn’t that much room between the barrel and carbon fiber bottle. Maybe the carbon fiber models don’t actually come with the sleeve? But I did see that cavedweller’s and nomojos TM1000 has one. There are photos (that are probably renderings) that show the carbon fiber model with a sleeve.

The smaller diameter barrels ( Small barrel hole matched receiver ) guns had carbon over sleeves taking barrel O.D. to @16mm
Some of the guns were build off the rifles receiver that are a 16mm barrel hole and thus barrel too at 16mm

You don't have clearance over a 3.5L to 4.8L size bottles to further sleeve a 16mm barrel ... thus no CF sleeve fitted.

* Pretty sure the only way to have a 16mm barrel with a thin wall 16x18mm carbon sleeve is to use the smaller O.D. 2.2L CF bottles.

Pretty dang sure on these statements :cautious:
