The 600 mm barrel & shroud ends at the shroud clamp of the Saber Tactical long top rail.
Below is the range setup.
Shooting tree rats from the barn, I replace the moderator with an FX thread protector and the barrel system is completely covered and protected by the top rail. I replace the UTG Over Bore with an Accu-Tac 50 cal bipod. With legs forward I can shoot resting on a windowsill, with the legs folded back I have a forearm for awful hand shooting. With the legs down I can shoot from a table or prone. I run the Over Bore at the same position I run the Accu-Tac to maintain the same torque characteristics when using either.
The rifle is zeroed at 25 meters with the moderator attached. With the moderator removed I use hold under DOPE for every 5 meters from 10 to 50.
For my hunting rifle, I prefer long and heavy 22 caliber 700 mm, barrel tension kid with bullet, central carbon fiber shroud, shooting 34 grain, ancient and slugs. Have not tried one of the new bipods over the barrel. I am currently using MDT CKYE-pod.
