Snowpeak Pinty Poppet

Had my Pinty Pup lose air a while back & it wouldn't take air. I dry burnished the poppet/valve & that fixed that problem. I went to shoot it yesterday & it was empty. Once again it just blew air out of the barrel & would not seal. I burnished it again today with valve compound & also polished the valve. No luck! I've tried everything I know including cocking the lever & loading 2 pellets in the barrel while filling but no go. I have an email off to Pinty, to send me another poppet but I heard they don't carry spare parts. Any other suggestions?

Do you have a Pic of the poppet?

I'm not quite volunteering yet, but depending on how it's laid out and what it uses, I've made poppets for aea hp guns. Your next bet is probably having somebody make you one. If the valve hasn't broken, I'd be worried the problem is more complex and there could be something more wrong with the seat than the poppet itself.

Thank's for the offer 6gun. I'm waiting to see what Pinty has to say. I'm filling with my AV 4500 compressor. & it worked before. I also contacted Maple Custom, as they make a lot of Snowpeak poppets. They said they are not familiar with the Pinty guns but I sent them the measurements & they will check when they get back on 8/21. They also said they can custom make one in Delrin or Peek for any gun as long as they have the shaft size in stock & the measurements. I would probably just exchange it but I have already stripped & re stained the stock.

I was making them out of delrin at first and then generic acetal (non name brand delrin) in a different color because of an incident with a client and not my valve. The shafts can be made from precision ground drill rod stock too. It's not awful to do . If you had a manual job shop near you I bet getting a handful made wouldn't be expensive, and you'd have the stash of unobtainium.
