What would be a good first premium pcp? I've been looking at the RTI Mora, what others should I consider?
What will you be shooting at?What would be a good first premium pcp? I've been looking at the RTI Mora, what others should I consider?
I will be shooting target and hunting..from mice to white tail deer and hog and it needs to do all I can spend 5k but not 20k I'm thinking a 30 cal. I could be wrong but think fpe for deer in my state is 250.What would be a good first premium pcp? I've been looking at the RTI Mora, what others should I consider?
Bench in my yard and in the Texas brush. proly not past 100yds but would be fun to shoot way out at targets. What will you be shooting at?
What distances?
From a bench?
In the field?
I feel like an accurate rifle at the bench should hit target on game as well...weight would be the factor i suppose but weight can be added and removed i think? All of them. Lol, it all comes down to preference. Right or left cocking, weight, trigger feel, shot cycle, etc. So many uses or needs as well.
A bench rifle maybe dainty and delicate and not handle the bush...I didn't consider thatI feel like an accurate rifle at the bench should hit target on game as well...weight would be the factor i suppose but weight can be added and removed i think?
If you are comfortable with .25 Cal, go for a Vulcan 3 700 mm.What would be a good first premium pcp? I've been looking at the RTI Mora, what others should I consider?
The mora is a nice rifle, FX panthera/dynamic, Skout, Daystate. There are tons for benchrest as well. I have a nice USA made Skout Epoch in the classifieds, there are a couple Raw hm1000 in the classies also US made. Daystate delta wolf is in the classifieds, and also karma red panda. Any of those will do what you want.I feel like an accurate rifle at the bench should hit target on game as well...weight would be the factor i suppose but weight can be added and removed i think?
Ya that's my problem! ..my budget allows me to get more if I buy used i think. That will help as the scope will be another 2k. That's why I want to get the rite rifle...I can't afford 2 3 or even 4 rifles I need one that does it all. For the money I feel like that's not too much to ask?All of them. Yep, there is a woods walker, and then bench. My woods walker is a Leshiy2, my Skout is a bullpup, but a bench gun is heavy in nature. Also plenty of 2k scope for 1k on here recently.I always want a do all. Never works for me.

.25 Cal at 68 fpe is enough for javalina and coyote with a well placed head shot.I always want a do all. Never works for me.
The mora .25 600mm was my first "premium pcp" (over $2k). I bought it 2 months ago. I did like it a lot at first, but I have a slow leak that developed, i found the gun empty. After refilling it you could hear it leaking down the barrel. Cocked it and dri fired it, that did slow the leak down, but its still leaking. Very slow like 10 bar a day. Im definitely disappointed, I expected better for that price point. That being said the mora has been good until the leak. What would be a good first premium pcp? A tank is not "needed", a compressor yes.A .30 caliber is going to require A LOT of air. How are you going to fill it? You are going to need a tank and a compressor. Will have to budget accordingly.
I agree completely. Life is too short to have only one PCP. I settled on five. And a couple of pistols but they don't count. Really, it's fine. Well I might need one or two more now that I think about it.![]()
