What pistol did you shoot today

Try to get an extra cam ring for it. I’ve been told those can wear out or break (like when the loader jams) although I’ve never experienced either. But I do keep a spare just in case since they can be hard to find
Are you taking about one of these.. I will make my minimal free shipping twice over with this part alone…lol

Yep, that’s it.
The four tiny indents in the top hole are the only points of contact of the square shaft that passes through that hole. As you might imagine, that’s not much contact area and a lot of slop could develop from wear if that area isn’t kept well lubed.

Up to the Post Office to return a Daisy 200 BB gun to eBay…these guns are un- repairable when they leak from the valve assembly…do not buy these unless you need a paper weight for your desktop…unless you know seal kits are available then you are safer to make the buy..most of them are marked as no returns or untested

Morini 162 E I @ 20 yards , gave up om the red dot as i always see a ghost image but this one is apx. 20 plus years old . OFF to Cabela's to look through a lot of sights all red dots , all had a ghost except one from Holosun ,$379 plus a mounting base . the only holographic sights they had were very large roughly 2 x 3 x 3.5 tall EDIT inches !

Spent some time with the MP40 today. Both semi and full auto. I added some lead weight to the bolt (opened it up and poured in some lead bb’s) to slow the rate of fire. NOW it sounds a lot more realistic. Great fun. Gotta watch it though, it’s real easy to chew through my entire stock of ammo 😳

My wife hasn’t shown much interest in my airgun tinkering, until now. I made the mistake of handing her the MP40, saying “here, give it a try”. On full auto. I’ve created a monster 🫣.

Found a 38C….Snob Nose…I have been looking for..as usual a complete tear down was needed to get it up to par…had to tear it down twice…first time it still had a small leak…I noticed on this one it had a small teflon seal in the base of the valve assembly…after reading 📖 up that seal was stock but they used a smaller O-Ring with that setup..the Henry Ford kit uses a larger diameter O-Ring which no longer requires that teflon seal anymore.. removed it and all was well..like new again

I guess maybe sorry to hear that…lol…we all make that mistake…lol.. was getting tired of hearing that you spend more time with your guns than you do me ..she wasn’t lying about that…lol..so I let her give it a try…on my Super Redhawk.44 Magnum…told her to be careful with this big boy…not sure if she had her eyes closed but she blasted the X out with one shot…I asked her to do it again..she said no and told all my friends that she was a better shot …I let her have that one…it kept the peace for many years…lol…I say you got to give a little to get a lot…lol

I came across another basement bargain …like new …2 barrel set…Crosman .357 pistol.…put in a new Fire Stick…no leaks …put a few down range ..tweak the sights…put 10 in each target 🎯 4” barrel on the left and 6”barrel on the right…I guess 2”really does matter…lol…with all these clips..I need a bigger plinking area now

I took a turn now to the Wacky Wild West World 🌎 …Starting with the Crosman SA6…Single Action….22 cal…it’s in decent condition…it is missing the Sparklet cover like most of them …so I just painted a few CO2‘s in black…it’s holding air…got about 40 shots…reloading is a pain…the piercing knob is terrible to tighten..they should have come with a spanner wrench 🔧…haven’t found one yet .. I might have to make one…what I do like about this one is that it will allow you to Fan the hammer…going to need leather gloves for this ..hammer has sharp edge…it’s a little underpowered…but it shoots fairly well considering the fixed U-Grooved Blade

“Fast guns”, aka “race guns”, started out as stock six-guns. Modifications for fanning included taller hammers, lighter springs, deeper bolt notches, and angled cylinder bolts. All necessary because fanning put such a strain on the gun that it wouldn’t last long without these mods.
Anyway, I’m on a roll and I’m raving 🙂.
You could add a piece to the hammer to make it taller and easier to fan, and this would be in line with mods done to a real six-gun.
First shot uses the trigger (gun already cocked), second shot from a fan of the thumb, third shot from the forefinger as it follows the thumb across the hammer.
Now, go get ‘em!

you are are Wealth of Knowledge my friend…I appreciate your comments…my 2 biggest heroes in this department’s are …Bob Munden and Jerry Charles Miculek Jr….I also picked up a couple of Crosman Shiloh and a couple of Peacemaker 44…the Shiloh can’t do a fanning …not sure about the peacemaker yet…thanks Marker

Thanks. I like those sorts of projects.
I have the Peacemaker, can’t say I’m any good fanning it. To do that I’d need to mod it.
Never had a Shiloh. You’ll have to tell us how that works out.
I did get a Barra Schofield, and it’s a heavy slug of metal. Much slower than the Colt to draw.

Anyway, you mentioned Bob Munden … might be fun to set up a balloon at 10yds and see if you can hit it with a quick-draw. Something a bit more interesting than plain ol’ target shooting, eh?
