Two Avenge-X rifles, five months, and a part-time job I’m paying for...

Funny you say that because I literally just spoke with Pyramyd. The first gun I had exchanged (same model, different problems) was outside of 30 days. This gun, wanted to do the same thing...however because it's outside of 30 days they refused to do anything. Believe me, if I thought for a second that they would actually give me my $ back...I would be ordering an FX pronto.

Air Venturi Avenge-X

Shipped & sold by Pyramyd AIR

1-year limited warranty

60 day money back guarantee

You are withing the time limit stated on the web site, given the time frame you have shared with us. I would ask to have your case escalated to a supervisor withing the call to Pyramyd Air and continue to press your case for a replacement, credit or refund. I feel your pain and hope you are able to work this out.

So ive rma guns up to 3 times with in the return time frames on my p.a guns also i had the full refund option with p.a . Of course that was when it was P.a not that whatever it is now ..lol

So i looked and a new avx gun is 60 days. But your saying 30 days .

Even the referbished avx has a 60 day return .

So whats the real deal on that p.a screwing you out of 30 days ..

The new improved P.A ?? Lol

Orings are cheap and poop quality from the factory. Last about 1yr. Kits are $40 I believe. There is some schematic out there. I completely resealed 3 avgx. Anywhere air would touch and I could find. Worked fine. Back to shooting well. Now a rusty barrel is my issue. After 2years and thousands of pellets.

I really really appreciate that insight! I should know better than to just take someone’s word for it - and actually research it myself. Lesson learned. I will call back today & hopefully get a different person. I did ask that it be escalated during the first call and was told someone from management would contact me within an hour…as you can probably guess, that didn’t happen.

Heres how and where pyramid air went to the wayside..

Bunch of other use to be good companies as well

Oh .. spin the wheel and save ..lol

Also notice it a " shipped and sold by" thing ... Thats the big clue .. like who else would it be then? Flimflam liquidation sales ? right ?

The supervisor from PA just called me back

The supervisor from Pyramyd just called me. This is what I was told – So, apparently if there is an issue with the gun they will return/exchange it within 30 days at their expense (postage, whatnot). If you do not like/want the gun you have 60 days, however the cost of shipping is on you and you pay a restocking fee of 20%. I know that isn't a hard & fast rule across the board, seems more like it depends on who answers the phone which is just bad business imo. So, I was tald my "best bet" would be to reach out to Stacey at Air Venturi. Really frustrated at this point, I don't think having a rifle work properly for more than 2 months is asking much. Also of you go to PA site and go to the super fine print about their warranty disclaimers...the way it's worded in a nutshell is they can basically do whatever they want because the equipment was purchased "as is!" What a joke...

I have significant personal experiences with exactly this. Buy the company, cut costs wherever is humanly possible creating lower overhead thus more value. Sell. Meanwhile customers and employees suffer. Always all about the $ - nobody has decent customer service anymore, except maybe Chick-fil-a.....but I think those people are robots lol

I've got to say Fox Air Power has stood behind their 1yr warranty with every issue I've had with my Challenger Elite. Two regulators, a hammer spring, and valve pin within the first 6 months. Also replacing barrel which I finally scoped one month out of warranty and discovered was horrible pitted throughout entire length, also scored lands from bad tooling, and chamber off center with bore. So not all companies have bad costumer service. Communication is email only though, no phone number, I imagine a small staff would get overwhelmed by calls.
Unfortunately our USPS has lost the barrel that took months to get from AEA. Yes, I have crap luck with barrels.
Sorry PA is giving you so much of a hassle, you'd think they'd realize it bad for repeat business. I've only gotten pellets from them.

HOLY SH*T BOYS!!!!!

SHE IS TAKING AND HOLDING AIR!!!!

I wanted to thank ALL of you for your support...this would 100% have not have happened without everyone's input!!

After doing a ton of research and watching numerous videos I was excited to get a .22 caliber Avenge-X to compare to the other PCPs in the cabinet.

Unfortunately a problem with the regulator made it unadjustable and the rifle could not be tuned down to shoot anything less than 25 grain pellets. I returned it for full refund.
Be carefull when attempting to extract information from videos on air guns or any guns for that matter. I am an FX fan boy and their videos paint a picture that is far more rosey than reality. Guns are great but the results they parade out are not to be had without some effort and know how.
All makers will make a glossy video to show us and any shortcomings are rarely if ever mentioned.
