I’m On AMission

I kill 2-3 squirrels a day. That’s over, now. When I caught one with my garden tomato in its mouth that was it. I’m on a vendetta. Yesterday, I sat on my porch for several hours and killed over 20. Today, eight. Don’t mess with papa’s tomatoes. I’m a squirrel serial killer. I feel no remorse.
I wasn't aware that squirrels ate tomato? Maybe a styrofoam owl

I am right their with you only here the squirrels eat around 1/2 pound of birdseed a day. I get 1 to 4 a day , the Fox and Bobcats eat well .

I was popping European Sparrows last week and observed a Grey squirrel setting on a fence post calmly eating one.

Love this. I'm in the same boat. I've never had issues with squirrels eating my tomatoes but this year has been an absolute infestation of the tree rats. Every time my maters or strawberries get close to ripening, the little turds come in and wipe me out. I built a sniper hide in my son's bedroom so it's now game on and no mercy. Death pellets unleashed!

Dennis,

🔘 your vendetta is justified.
Lawful.
Logical.
Righteous.
Beneficial.

🔘 There are two kind of serial killers.
Take heart: You belong to the good serial killers.
Keep up the killing!!

🔘 Remorse is over-rated — and under-understood:
I explain: Remorse for squirrel killings has its roots in a childhood trauma. 😵
This trauma was inflicted on you by seeing a rerun of Disney's animated 1942 movie BAMBI — that casts human hunters as the villains.

Believe it or not, already in 1942 there were Karens, and 80 years ago tree hugging was alive and well. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm with you on that . I shot a couple HOSPs that landed on the raised bed wall after harassing my bluebirds. After a while that day ,I saw a gray squirrel munching on one & next day they were both gone.

Using an HW97 in .22. No modifications. On my last kill a squirrel had crawled up on a tree stump. As I was sighting in for the kill another squirrel crawled up beside it. I re sighted and shot that one. In the scope I watched the squirrels eyes. It had this oh poop look as it slowly slid off the tree stump. Take that sucker.
