Diana Please suggest a scope for Diana Bandit

Complete noob to airguns here. I've been watching videos and reading forums trying to learn and figure out what I need but its tough. Pretty much all reviews are by seasoned shooters with a lot of technical knowhow who don't say anything but scopes for the gun, so I cant quite get a clear picture when it comes to the Bandit what will work with it.

I don't want to spend more than 60-80 on a scope for now. Only will he using for occasional pest control not for regular practice. I have a cheap baby walmart gun but I have trouble aiming with it cause I wear contacts and if I get closer than 6-8" to the sights they get blurry for me so my shooting is pretty poop without the scope.7

Some YT videos say the Bandit has a very short rail. Also the pellet magazine may be blocked by scope mounts.

A lot of pistol mounts have what seems like a single wide leg center mount, but I also saw some double leg (no idea what those are called) mounts on pistols, idk if people modify their pistols to do that or if the Bandit actually allows it.

Can you recommend me a good beginner setup, a scope or any attachments I may need to make it work with the magazine so it doesn't block it? I plan on using the multi-shot magazine. I'd probably prefer adjustable eye relief but idk if those are available within my budget.

Also, I was all set on the 0.177 Bandit, but is there any benefit to going with the 0.22? I wont shoot farther than 30-ish yards. At this distance would a .22 be more effective or would it require better shooting skill (I suck).

Any help will be much appreciated.

I don't have a Bandit, but DO have an AirBug which is basically the CO2 version of the PCP Bandit. Pretty much any pistol scope will work, or if you prefer a red dot, the UltraDot "type" tube-style dots are adequate for the typical distances that the Bandit would be used. I have an older TC (Thompson Center) 3X scope on my Airbug presently, just for accuracy testing various pellets, using Hawke medium height mounts. After I'm done pellet testing, I will be putting a red dot back aboard. For the pistol scope, the rear ring installs on the dovetail rail behind the loading port, and the front ring on the dovetail just in front of the loading port. The medium height Hawke rings will allow the scope/red dot tube to clear the magazine just fine. Regarding the 177/22 cal thing, I went with the .22 just for ease in handling the pellets. Also, if you are going to "pest" with the Bandit, the .22 will potentially offer more downrange energy for humane kills. Hope this helps a bit.

I think I'm going to go with a regular scope. I briefly had a Umarex Uzi-like gun with a red dot (lost somewhere from not using it), but it was an undermount red dot (not the one that looks like a scope in your pictures). I could never see where the heck the dot was past like 10 ft, and to aim in the trees or anywhere with a lot of color/texture was... hopeless. I think, my gut feeling is, that for a lousy shooter like myself, regular scope will be easier to quickly aim and at least get a chance.

So I'm thinking about starting with this scope

NcStar 2-7X32 Pistol Scope/Blue Lens/Ring (SPB2732B) Black​

Would that be ok-ish?

Not working out at all, unfortunately.

I couldn't zero the NcStar scope at all. Just kept hitting the exact same spot even at extreme opposite settings, round after round, its like adjustments did absolutely nothing. Sent it back and got a replacement one but yet to install it. Idk if the scope was bad or if its the user error. I have zero experience, I thought I screwed everything together tight and ot should've been simple, but maybe there's some nuance idk about.

Wish I bought it pre-zeroed as a bundle.

Who does a pre-zeroed bundle?
Maybe you tightened mounting screws too tight? Try replacement one when you can and LMK. THANKS!!

One of the sellers did. Airgun depot or some other one. Only $10 per service, I think. They just didn't have the right scope or something so I didn't order it from them which was a big mistake.

I didn't tighten the screws too tight, I don't think so, just tight enough so the scope wouldn't wobble.

It will be a while before I get to it but I will post here when I do

Shot a tight group. Used whatever calculation (don't remember) clicks per inch vertically and then horizontally to try to get it to the center per manual

But no matter how much I dialed the adjustment wheels I kept hitting the exact same spot over and over. I went like complete max (should've been a foot away) and still hit the same spot.

Then I dialed it in in the opposite direction to the max just to see if it did anything. Still hit the same spot.

One of the dial metal lid fell of randomly so I wonder if it was damaged or returned or something.
