Need some ideas..favorite walk & stalk loadout

I've got a few for offhand shots

I chose a dreamline tactical compact bottle gun in 25 at just over 40 fpe for that task. Pellets only and it will handle most everyrhing I'm going to do if needed.

Then I've got a polished turd of an aea hpss in 22 semi auto that I use for walking around rock piles getting ground squirrels.

For small game hunting with less destruction I use an old Benjamin disco in 177. It's used when I want to recover stuff 25 would turn to hamburger.

(originally military) The set of objects (eg, equipment, supplies) to be carried into battle, onto a jobsite, etc.; all that one needs for a specific purpose.

In my case, the choice of rifle for offhand shooting would be irrelevant, since any target would be totally safe from harm! But, if I had to take such a shot, I'd probably choose my HW100 with adjustable comb, since it fits me very well. I can very comfortably watch pellets spray around the target until I either empty the magazine, or the animal wanders off from boredom. But, to the OP's question, choose a rifle that fits you well, it's unlikely that anyone's perfect rifle will be yours.

WTF is a loadout? Are we just making up words now because we are bored with regular words?
It's commonly used. It's soldier talk that spread via video games. Not unlike edc.

My edc load out is a leatherman, a big carpenters mechanical pencil, a box cutter and a flashlight. 😂
