I am wondering how big of a deal the lrf is? I'm sure the zulus will out class the sightmark unit if only by weight alone.

That lrf addition and adjusting the aim point for yah, depends on you. I had the non lrf ... cool and amazed compared to the green gen 1 2 etc from the past. What a great feature set for the price point. Now, if I could have had the lrf, I would as most prefer that. Then, I started thinking about the offerings in thermal ... then. Just never stops. The only reason I sold mine, couldn't handle the eye strain. It was like focusing on a tiny TV screen that was way too close. That kind of dashed my thermal dreams as I bet its still a small screen. Regardless, the zulus without lrf = awesome. There is always something better to keep chasing. Excited for you ... enjoy.

i bought a non-lrf one and after a week went and bought the tnc225r with LRF....and I don't know why they offer a non-LRF. It's so useful for airguns!

I bought a non-lfr to try it out on my AEA Element Max 50cal for deer hunting, but have a lot going on with my family right now and they've now closed my favorite shooting range to remodel it

I have several DNT Zulus on several different airguns, and have always gotten the non-LRF since I primarily shoot targets at 35 yards and rats at 50 yards, and figured I really didn't need LRF. That was until Tactical Panda's latest sale, when I picked up my first LRF version for under $500. All I can say is WOW! The ability to press one button and have my air rifle be dead on at different ranges is really nice! Is it really necessary? Probably not, but I do find myself becoming more spoiled not having to figure hold over at different distances! At the price TP is offering the V1 LRF, I'd definitely say its worth the extra cost!

The Lrf a big deal on slow subsonic airguns if you are hunting different ranges...I didnt have the money for new LRF Zulus but i bought a Used SIghtmark Wraith Mini 4k 2-16....Im pretty impressed with 4k image...Its small and vidoe records sound,, FFP recticles...The Zulus still is HD not 4k... I bought my used mini for $250.00....

Nothing wrong with non lrf, hell i have the TNC225r, had a few weeks now, still not put any info into it. I just have been shooting known ranges and adjust with the reticle hashes. Someday when I have the time I will setup the ballistics. Lol

Although I’ve never owned the V1, I recently purchased a LRF V2 after researching the new features/changes. I feel the V2 is worth the price difference. The on screen data is more intuitive. How the vertical angle is shown, cant indicator and battery life are huge improvements on the V2 compared to V1. Changing the zoom on the V2 is now more like a traditional scope by turning the knob instead of the weird dial used before. The added battery life and longer eye relief are nice features too. Bottom line is if the price difference isn’t going to break your bank, I’d consider getting the V2. The only downside is the removal memory card is no longer an option. Everything else is a vast improvement IMO.

Biggest problem with non lrf in my mind would be night hunting. If you are going to night hunt at unknown distances it will be much more difficult. During the day it’s a sweet feature to have but you can always still use a regular range finder and just hold over in the reticle.
