Reviving this. in essence as a shoutout to Jarkko.
I did get me a SL and as all other pcp´s of course took it apart completely.
Albeit i´ve got some rather serious critique on the unit for Hatsan the power claimed though is there with an absolute minimum of modifications.
There´s a few of us that run this rifle that compare notes that keep heavy machinery AND the know-how needed why the following is to be said.
It´s basically held back at two points. The valve/poppet setup and the entry port on the barrel.
The latter is simple enough to port out to more in reason dimensions with the rest of the transfer circuit. Just go at it i say but keep absolute diameter in mind.
The valve is a bit more involved and takes a bit of machining to get right.
Be that as it may there´s those of us that have seen beyond 200 Joules for the 25 @ very elevated reg pressures but be that as it may with a tad of porting and a reworked valve assy the thing lingers along calmly at 135bars handing an easy 130 Joules.
So yes.
The SL can no doubt be had to deliver, that much is for sure.
On a completely different note it became sorts of a pet peeve to me the length of this unit. With one of my own 220mm long cans out front to keep it silent in operation it turned just silly.
Well.
There´s a remedy for that carrying the thing around, as i looked through the parts list for FX stuff.... the foldable stock hinge for their Dreamline and what not. Not overly expensive seeing what it is either.
More or less direct fit install, and does it ever make for a difference. IMO this is how this insanely long gun should be delivered from Hatsan.
Anyway.
I´ll make a separate post on my findings as far as the gun shortly.
