@Avator I’m not worried about learning to cast. I’ve spent a decent amount of time exploring that. What I’m asking about is how to navigate the last picking of these NOE molds with multiple acronyms in order to shop for what I’d want to work with. For example, I think GC = gas check, HP = hollow point, FN= flat nose, SP = spire point, BT = boattail, etc. I assume the numbers next to the acronyms are referring grain weight.

In the link below I don’t know what BF means and I don’t know what the “yes” and “no” combinations refer to. This making shopping here difficult because I don’t know what type of .308 mold variation will be showing up.

The Yes and no selection refers to mold lube and if you want it drilled for a temperature probe.

Not sure what BF means but I do know that an option is the mold to be drilled and tapped for a temp probe. I don't know if that's the acronym.

Well, I had to go order another mold from Al. I need a little heavier .357 for a new-to-me Extreme Big Bore that'll be here on Monday. My wife is going to shoot me with it when she see's the credit card charges for the month!! Oh well, I guess we all have to go sometime.... .

ill have to sit this one out. The site appears to be down to scraps and I’d just be ordering random molds.

That's what I said when I saw how slim the pickins were. I already have the molds I use but I was just lookin to see if there was a good deal on something I don't have.

Ok looks like he has some 25 cal pellet molds left. Yell me I should buy one. I shoot a lot of 25 stuff. Are the pellets good?

Well there's only 1 available now because I just ordered 1 also.
Couldn't really afford it, some bills will be a few days late next week, but had to get one while I could. Unfortunately no idea how they'll shoot, but my Bullshark is intended as a woods walker, not a bench shooter. As I read someone else's post say, " a minute of squirrel" will be good enough for that.

Time for some enabling, buy one. I have a few molds and haven't gotten to casting yet but the opportunity is there when I'm ready. And if they don't work for me I'm sure i can get most of my money back.

In. 308 really good mold options aviable .. I got 4 molds - 2 light 135gr and - 2 heavy 150gr .. when those arrive .. will see if there is something else i might want . Hope he gets better n enjoy his retirement..

I wonder if it has something to do with the mail in your area. My last mold was ordered on 8/11 and came on 8/22. I've ordered 4 molds since 7/15 and they've all come in about the same amount of time. Yeah, I really like Al's molds and though I'll miss drooling through his website, I too hope the best for him. I'm betting you have yours tomorrow.

I really don't think that there will be a lot of new casters in the future, most of us that have purchased the casting equipment n molds did it because 9 years ago swaying was out of the question.. but now is a bit more afordable , with swaying you have the ability to make perfect bullets or slugs every time . With a lot less labor .. If i was starting now.. i would go directly to swaying. No smelting no cleaning lead , swaying could be done anywhere..

NOE in the House.. .. finally here. Im getting one in 257. His version of the 257-312

who else sells pellet molds?

Nobody that I know of. Maybe arsenal molds will take over.
