Looking for airgun community near Bakersfield CA

Hey guys, as the headline says, I'm looking for an airgunning community to get involved with in the Bakersfield/LA area. The only thing I currently know of is Joe Broncado's shop in Huntington Beach. I am also looking for different work in the area. I would love to be able to work in the industry. Anyone run across any ranges doing PCP events, or just range days? Also, any local shops in the area would be great. There is a great place to fill tanks called "Bakersfield Scuba Center" close to downtown area. Thanks for replys in advance! Happy shooting.

HunterKillerBr, I have lived in Tehachapi for 24 years. I have never heard of any other PCP shooters. I did stumble across a shop here but it closed when his wife moved her business elsewhere in town. I have purchased PCP's from him in the past and was shooting them until 2021 when a fire almost destroyed our range here in our gated community. I was also an avid PB shooter until I got into PCPs. I now am trying to get into a range here, but their application for membership is a narrow window during the summer. So I have a little wait. It is located right off of 58. So you would have a drive of roughly 1 to 1 and a half hours drive from Bako if you are interested.

Is that scuba shop still filling up tanks and do all tanks have to be certified I have a scott carbon fiber tank I've been feeling with my own compressor but for some reason it's not pumping I've gone through it and don't know why and I don't know where to fill my day everyone says the tanks have to be certified to get air at a scuba shop or the fire station is that true everywhere!? I just need to fill my tank it last quite a while on a fill I was just hoping someone in the Bakersfield area had their compressor like I did and was filling their own tanks and I could compensate them for filling mine!? I will be in Bakersfield tomorrow I'm from the Tulare area about an hour away but I'm going to lake Hughes tomorrow and will be passing through the Bakersfield area!? Really appreciate any ideas! I'm too old to hand pump it anymore especially that big tank! Thank you!

Bakersfield scuba downtown still fills tanks. They do prefer it to be tagged for filling though. They fill mine even though its oit of date, but they know my tank pretty good. I think they said I needed to get it certified before next time though. I've been filling with a Tuxing Txedto32 now. Its brand new and I'm having issues with it. Know of any HP compressor repair places around town? Its brand new and it just stopped compressing! Its runs good. Just struggles to compress and then pops the breaker. It holds the air that it does manage to fill. Any idea on where to look for repair advice? TIA

There is a group of air gunners that get together. And shoot on the fourth Sunday of every month in a 22 NLR match at 5 dogs shooting range. Usually in the morning, it is comprised of a fifty-fifty mix of air gun shooters and 22 rimfire shooters as far as the air compressor I think there is a Authorized dealer or a warranty station in Texas. You should be able to search under your compressor's name and pull the thread up of the gentleman that runs it. I hope this helps.
