I was wondering,are the100yd. groups getting better

because of the better choices in slugs and heavier pellets? Asking because there a lot more accurate PCP,yet many of those PCP have been around for years.

Something learned is that pellets don't need a fast twist barrel to shoot well and too fast a twist can make the pellet spiral at faster fps. Plus there are higher BC pellets nowadays. The 30 cal 50gr AEA seems like a top contender with IIRC a .06 G1 BC.

Then slugs with faster twists like the LW 15.75 twist in my Skout EVO or the 16 twist in my Thomas HPX, both 22 cal. These barrels will stabilize longer and higher BC slugs.

Many have had great success at velocities of sub 1000 fps with slugs which is achievable with some older guns.
 
Scores from the first EBR in 2012 sure seem to indicate 100yrd group have improved...
