Hello All,
I got the AV Avenger 25 Bullpup 2 a few months ago. Ran a couple hundred shots thru it.
I haven't touched the tuning from the factory. I zeroed it at 40 yards and it's been great.
I can't be 100% but I'm nearly certain the regular pressure was just under 3000 when I started shooting. Just yesterday I filled it up to apx 3800 and realized how high the reg pressure is reading?
Update: I just fired a few shots and my pressure is 3500 and reg now sits at 3100.
I'm new to all this but I though the regulator was supposed to be more stable when the rifle pressure is high?
Any insight would be really appreciated.

Yeah thr avenger pup i had crept like a SOB.
Its not the cheapest solution. But you can buy a first stage reg that goes between the air tube and the plenum. Set the pressure that the reg is supposed to be at. Or where you get the best results and open your normal reg all the way to use the aftermarket reg. Or you can set the factory reg to where you want and the aftermarket a couple psi above.

Contact the outfit you purchase the Avenger Bullpup from and explain the situation you are experiencing. With the gun only being a couple of months old it should be under warranty and the vendor willing to make it right by you. I suspect you had a defective regulator from the start and it should be rebuilt or replaced. I hope the vendor is willing to help you without any troubles.

Same thing happens with my karma eq 30 cal. When I stop using it the regulator will creep 300-400 psi. It takes a few hours of non use to creep up. I contacted the dealer and I was told to " just take a few shots to wake it up. All guns creep". " you need to wake it up"...... That wasn't the answer I was looking for, the gun works fine other than the creep. My first shot is like 70 fps too fast, then it settles in and works fine as long as I keep shooting.

I did get a cheap Chrono that several guys here recommended. I haven't used it, as I mentioned I'm really new to it all.
What would be a good test plan to determine where the problem is? Basically shoot and see where velocity drops off I'm guessing?

Yes, fill the rifle to regular fill pressure. Shoot an entire string from start to the point where the velocity starts dropping off and then check the regulator pressure. Keep a record of your shot string and count. This will help you diagnose your rifle.

I emailed Pyramyd Air so we'll see what happens. I just bought it at the end May so practically brand new. I had a few questions along the way and Pyramyd was really helpful so we'll see how it goes.

I have an Avenger X and have had regulator problems also. Seems to be a common problem with Avenger rifles. Mine still creeps but much less so now that I have dry fired it a lot. Also it may help to put some silicon into the fill port when filling. I did both and mine went from a pretty much unregulated gun to be somewhat usable. Since your rifle is under warranty I would however get it fixed from Air Venturi. Hope they come up with a better next gen regulator. The rifle is a great deal, super accurate but that regulator thing sucks.

So I contacted Pyramyd. They told me it was a warranty issue and just referred me to Air Venturi directly.
I'm guessing this is going to be a real pain. I emailed them but I'll probably give a call tomorrow. I'm hopeful they'd send a warranty replacement but I'm thinking best case I'll be without it for a few weeks.
Terrible timing as my chicken coop is under a raccoon invasion.
